Putnam Classical Academy School Uniform Policy
Students who are not in the required uniform may not be dropped off at school, so please plan accordingly.
Parents will be required to take the student home to obtain the correct uniform before the student may attend class.
Repeated uniform violations may result in disciplinary action and may jeopardize continued enrollment.
Girls' Uniform Requirements
• NAVY blue collared polo dresses with solid shorts underneath
• NAVY blue polo shirts with LIGHT KHAKI dress pants, dress shorts, or skorts
Not permitted:
• Capris
• Leggings worn as pants
• Mini skirts
• Skin-tight or form-fitting clothing
• Athletic shorts
• Denim of any kind
• Clothing that is excessively short, tight, or revealing
Boys' Uniform Requirements
• Solid NAVY blue polo shirts
• LIGHT KHAKI dress pants or light khaki dress shorts
Not permitted:
• Cargo pants or cargo shorts
• Athletic shorts
• Skinny jeans/pants
• Denim of any kind
• Joggers or sweatpants
• Clothing that is excessively tight, oversized, torn, or distressed
SHOES must be SOLID brown, black, or dark gray.
- Different colored soles are acceptable.
- For primary grades, slip on or velcro closures are best if your child doesn't know how to tie their own shoes.
- Socks must be worn and should be solid colored.
Outerwear
The only outerwear permitted on campus is school-approved solid navy blue sweaters, cardigans, quarter-zips, or jackets. Outwear may not have any logos or writing.
If students are cold in the classroom, they may wear only approved school outerwear or long-sleeve uniform shirts. Blankets, hoodies, non-uniform jackets, sweatshirts, and other unapproved garments may not be worn anywhere on campus. Jackets and coats must be solid navy blue with no logos or writing on them
Personal Appearance
Hair must be neat and natural in appearance. No unnatural hair colors are allowed.
Makeup, facial piercings, and tattoos are not permitted.
Uniform compliance is a requirement for continued enrollment at Putnam Classical Academy.
